Anyone can donate. Donations are tax deductible. i.e., Making a donation can reduce the income tax you have to pay! If you're reading this but you're not working now, you can always help us by letting your parents know! Every qualifying individual needs to pay tax. By making a donation, it lowers their taxable income and hence taxes paid. The amount which will be use to offset the taxable income is 2.5 times the amount donated i.e. if one donates $100, deduction against taxable income is $250.
